The German company ORIS, founded in Möglingen in 1955, quickly became one of the largest trailer hitch manufacturers in Europe. The company has always been characterized by innovation. In 1985, it was the first to introduce removable trailer hitches, which quickly became their most popular product due to their numerous advantages over fixed hitches. In 2018, Bosal's entire trailer hitch division was acquired by the Towerbrook group. From that point onward, the company's name changed to ACPS Automotive, and the products are once again available under the ORIS brand. ORIS quality is guaranteed by automotive supplier experience and technology.

The towing hooks manufactured for the European aftermarket are produced at the Kecskemét plant, which employs nearly 1,000 people, where about two-thirds of the total production consists of products made for OEM supply. Within the company, the share of OEM (OEM and OES) products in terms of towing hook units is around 85%. The company continues the innovative traditions of ORIS, presenting continuous developments in both OEM supply and the aftermarket.
