The brake expert of the world. During brake tests, Jurid measured that when braking from a speed of 130 km/h, nearly 30 tons of force is applied to the front brake disc of a mid-range car. This force is necessary to ensure proper deceleration of the vehicle. At this point, the brake disc heats up to nearly 600°C. If the brake disc material is of poor quality, the braking effect can significantly decrease during the next braking event.

When used brake components are in operation, the braking distance can be up to 5 meters longer, which means the vehicle could skid onto a pedestrian crossing while braking. Jurid sintered (metallic) brake pads are used in the French TGV high-speed trains, which travel at 574 km/h on the Paris-Strasbourg line. Jurid brake pads are also used in the new BMW 5 Series and the Hungarian Suzuki.
