Spark and Glow Plugs
The demand for components for ignition systems led to the establishment of numerous companies in Germany around the turn of the century. In 1912, Albert Ruprecht founded his company, and with it, the BERU brand was born. The company developed the Ultra X spark plug. The four electrode pairs are positioned at different heights, providing six distinct options for igniting the fuel-air mixture. BERU plays a leading role in first-tier supply, with its glow plugs mainly being integrated by French (Peugeot) and German (VW, BMW, MB) car manufacturers.
